Commercial Fishery Impact on the Modern Black Sea Ecosystem: a Review

Viewed : 3680 - Downloaded : 3065 During the last 30-40 years, the Black Sea ecosystem has been found subjected to diverse anthropogenic factors, one of which appears to be the fishing pressure. Till recently no common viewpoint is available regarding its influence on the ecosystem. The main objective of the study is to evaluate the role of commercial fishery in structural and functional alterations of the Black Sea ecosystem on the basis of a data-series relative to long-term dynamics of fisheries statistics and biological population indices.
