The objective of the present research is to study the seasonal morphometric variations of the secondary sexual characters
of Nephrops norvegicus males. Samples were collected from March 2014 to September 2014, except the summer months,
using a commercial bottom trawl in a depth range of 446-728 m in the Central Aegean Sea (Mediterranean Sea). This is the
first attempt to resolve the morphometry of the appendix masculina in the Mediterranean basin of this species. Carapace
length, surface and perimeter of appendix masculina were measured and the relationships among them. Α positive allometric
growth among these structures is observed. The possible role of this appendix in copulation of Norway lobster is suggested
