The ocean`s largest extant elasmobranch fishwhale shark (Rhincodon typus) has been
wedged accidentally in gillnet by fishermen off the coast of Cuddalore, southeast
coast of India. The paper also discusses conservative measures to protect the
diversity of Whale shark.
