Actinotaenium diplosporum var. americanum, Cosmarium pseudoexiguum, Gonatozygon kinahanii, Staurastrum boreale var. quadriradiatum, S. hantzschii and Staurodesmus dejectus var. apiculatus were recorded for the first time for the desmid flora of Turkey.
